COMMON QUESTIONS Will this program make me big and bulky? No. This program is designed for strengthening the muscles, opposed to hypertrophy which you would find in programs such as body building. Women also naturally have much less testosterone than men and therefore it is much harder for muscles to increase in size. You may however find you shred fat resulting in a more defined body shape, enhancing your muscles. Who is this program suitable for? Due to the nature of this program it is therefore suitable for beginners to advanced fitness levels. If you are unsure, please contact us to discuss. I just had a baby, are these exercises appropriate for me? We would recommend you start with Booty Bootcamp. Building strong and balanced glutes and core muscles provide a strong foundation and prevent injury after having a baby. Are the exercises pelvic floor safe? As you will be lifting heavier weights and placing pressure on the pelvic floor this program is not considered pelvic floor safe. If this could be an issue for you then we recommend you start with Booty Bootcamp. I have an injury or chronic health condition, will this be suitable for me? Please feel welcome to speak to me more specifically about this as I am a very experienced and educated trainer I am more than happy to adjust exercises to suit you. In some more serious issues please note that you may be asked to provide a medical clearance from your doctor to participate. Is it ok if I have a gym membership somewhere else? Of course! This program only runs for 5 weeks with absolutely no strings attached for you to commit to any other sessions with me. Our goal for you is to walk away feeling empowered, encouraged and inspired to take what you have learnt back into your gym sessions. Will I be sore afterwards? Yes, but my aim for you is not to be too sore. Depending on your current activity level, clients will experience different degrees of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). This is completely normal, particularly when introducing exercise to a muscle or when you increase the activity level for it. During our sessions I will teach you how to stretch out muscles and provide nutritional information which can support decreasing the affects of DOMS. Can I bring my children along? Unfortunately we do not have a safe area for children to play in while you are training. We understand it can be difficult to exercise when you have children to look after but have found many of our clients prefer to train without the responsibility of their children so they can stay focused on the session. If you are not in a position to train without your children we are more than happy to recommend some local gyms with child safe areas/minding. How do I pay? Payment in full is required at the first session. We accept cash and bank transfer. What do I wear and bring with me to the sessions? Wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in. Most clients opt for leggings, yoga pants, shorts, or loose fitting pants (light or tracksuit) with a tshirt/singlet and runners. Bring a bottle of water, large towel, and emergency medication eg. Ventilon, anaphylactic injection etc. if it is required.
